Struggling Teacher Support Plan

A structured 4-to-6-week improvement cycle for teachers who need intensive implementation support.
When to Use This Plan

Use this plan when a teacher consistently shows three or more unmet indicators on the Walkthrough Checklist, when the Classroom Observation Tool reveals that the GRADUATE cycle is not being followed as designed, or when student data on the Tracking Sheet shows no growth across modules. This plan provides a supportive, structured path toward implementation fidelity.

Step 5: Coaching Schedule (4 to 6 Weeks)

Week 1: Baseline

Observe using the Classroom Observation Tool. Identify specific gaps. Meet with teacher to share observations and set goals.

Week 2: Model

Co-teach or model a lesson using the Triplet. Walk through the Teacher Script together. Demonstrate the GRADUATE stages for the correct day.

Week 3: Practice

Teacher leads the lesson independently. Observer uses the 5-Minute Walk-Through Form. Brief check-in after the lesson using the Coaching and Feedback Frames.

Week 4: Monitor

Full observation using the Classroom Observation Tool. Compare indicators to Week 1 baseline. Celebrate growth and adjust goals if needed.

Week 5: Sustain

Informal walk-throughs using the 5-Minute Walk-Through Form. Focus on consistency of the originally targeted goals. Begin addressing additional growth areas if the first goals are met.

Week 6: Review

Final full observation. Compare to baseline. Document growth. Determine whether to continue the plan, adjust goals, or close the plan with a maintenance schedule.
